<image:caption>At Iron Bear Strength & Conditioning our goal is to provide a comfortable family environment for you to reach your fitness goals, whatever they may be. We’re family owned and operated and strive to make our gym a place where community thrives and grows. We don’t care about any preconceived ideas of who belongs inside a gym. We want to bring improved health to anyone who is willing to work hard. That's it, no biases based on experience or body type. ALL are welcome because it's about improvement, not perfection, that we seek. One rep at a time moving towards a stronger self. We truly believe that fitness is for anyone. We offer group classes incorporating principles of strength and conditioning that foster a fun and supportive atmosphere. We also offer personal training for those who have a more focused goal in mind. We, as a family, purchased the gym after initially being members ourselves. We loved the fun but challenging workouts paired with a deep sense of camaraderie. The community got us hooked and we’d love for you to be a part of that too. If you’re looking for fitness and community we’re the place for you!</image:caption>

<image:title>Team - Ingrid and Aaron Anderson: Co-Owners</image:title>
<image:caption>Ingrid and Aaron started participating in CrossFit classes in late 2018 after the prodding of Ingrid’s sister-in-law, Liz. After pushing through their first month they quickly realized this was something they wanted to incorporate into their everyday routine. Not only did they love the variety of fun workouts, they enjoyed the community atmosphere of fitness and positivity. In May of 2019 they jumped on the opportunity to keep the gym running and progressing. Alongside Nils, Liz, and Bernard they pitched in to purchase CrossFit Valley Springs. Aaron works full time as an auto-body guru and Ingrid homeschools their three kids. They both love to lift heavy and see others succeed.</image:caption>

<image:title>Team - Nils and Liz Barrett: Co-Owners and Coaches</image:title>
<image:caption>Nils and Liz have been goofing off and playing sports together since high-school. Soccer, basketball, volleyball; you name it! After getting married and getting busy with work, well, we all know how that goes, right? Though they have always stayed active with backpacking, some pick-up games of basketball or frisbee golf, their general fitness was lacking. In the summer of 2018 Liz started CrossFit with an old friend Em Cook. Despite playing competitive soccer as a kid and sports all through high school, nothing lit a fire in her like CrossFit. Nothing quite like the quietness of mind that comes from the grind of a metcon. Shortly after starting in Lodi, Liz convinced Nils to give it a try in Valley Springs. Nils was also hooked on the style of workouts and the community backing. After attending CrossFit Valley Springs together for a short six months, the two of them joined the Andersons and Nils’ brother Bernard to purchase the gym. Nils builds customs timber frame tiny homes and uses that fitness everyday to get that done. He became a CrossFit Level 1 Coach in July of 2020. Liz stays busy managing the gym and holding the head coach position. She received her CrossFit Level 1 in June of 2019.</image:caption>

<image:title>Team - Bernard Barrett: Co-Owner</image:title>

<image:title>Team - Ryley Nordahl: Coach</image:title>
<image:caption>Ryley has been a member of CrossFit Valley Springs, along with his family, since 2014. In 2018 he received his CrossFit Level 1. His future plans are to become a game warden and is pursuing that by studying Natural Resources full-time at Oregon State University online. He’s a great athlete and knows how to push an athlete just right to meet their potential.</image:caption>
